Mini BSO

The Mini BSO is a quintet that includes all four families of musical instruments found in the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. Over the last ten years the ensemble has encouraged, entertained and educated thousands of children of all ages, introducing classical music in a fun and family-friendly manner.

The core of the work undertaken by the group is based around an hour long concert. At Key Stages 1 and 2 there are themed concerts that can hold the attention of the youngest children, while at Secondary level a program of specifically composed and arranged music is a prelude to composition based workshops which conclude with a presentation of work.
