   Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra is delighted that another new recording has been released on the Naxos label; conducted by its Associate Conductor David Hill. This new recording is of choral music by English composer Vaughan Williams

2. BSO Principals step into the limelight

   

   Kevin Banks, Principal Clarinet and Andy Cresci, Principal Tuba are to forsake their positions in the orchestra next month when they move to the front of the stage to perform as soloists

3. Not in a Lava

   

   The Icelandic volcano has immaculate timing - it has chosen to erupt the one week when BSO guest artists do not need to fly to Britain! Volcanic activity in Iceland will not stop the BSO performing its Northern Highlights concert this week in Poole, Bristol and Portsmouth

4. A Rare Opportunity

   

   Kirill Karabits brings his first season as Principal Conductor to a close with a rare performance of Ravel's ballet music for Daphnis and Chloe in its complete form.

5. A Royal Return

   

   Acclaimed soprano Kate Royal, a former pupil of Talbot Heath School in Bournemouth, is to make her debut with Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra later this month.
